Radical Efficiency Zones

A new report from Nesta proposes ‘Radical Efficiency Zones’ as a way of improving public services at lower cost. ‘Radical efficiency is about enabling the right people with the right motivation and the right tools to set their imagination free’. The report states that ‘success depends on central government’s ability to let go of the reins of innovation and liberate local innovators’. Radical efficiency is not about tweaking existing services, but, rather, is about generating new perspectives so as to ensure a genuine shift and trasnformation of the nature of the services.
