A paper presented at the year’s annual conference on museums and the web looks at the power of Human Centred Design to discover actionable insights in support of the museum’s visitors. Empathy maps and other tools were deployed as part of a study performed in collaboration with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The results suggest the power of Human Centred Design tools to extract deep insights and unknown desires from museum visitors, adding to the growing body of evidence which points to Human Centred Design as the most natural way to achieve successful products, systems and services.
